Conclusion

The conference week in Maribor is over. We still collect and exchange impressions and the whole picture is still forming, but according to the many happy faces and congratulations we can conclude that the conference has been a success. Almost all of the 100 papers have been presented in 3 parallel tracks and 4 keynotes in plenary sessions. We also had a panel on publishing, an open meeting on ASCE Global Center of Excellence in Computing and a plenary discussion on Integrated Design Solutions, a topic introduced by CIB. We haven't let the 130 participants from 35 countries alone for a single evening, starting with a joint visit to the Lent festival on first night, having a wine tasting and a concert the second night, and an excursion and the conference dinner on Pohorje the last afternoon and night of the conference.

Again thanks to all, who have contributed to the success of the Maribor conference: the organizing committee, the workshop and session chairs, the reviewers, the keynotes, the authors of the papers and all participants. 

We hope that we could contribute our share to the connectedness of the construction informatics community and also influence the success of the next conference, which will be held in Santiago, Chile, 15 - 17 June 2008.
